STREET2SCHOOL LEGACY PROJECT 2026 Phase 2 OUTREACH REPORT

STREET2SCHOOL LEGACY PROJECT 2026 Phase 2 OUTREACH REPORT

Earlier Today, 12th October 2026, the Ernest Bebenimibo Foundation (EBF) successfully carried out the second phase of its Street2School Legacy Project 2026, reaching over 500 primary school pupils across two schools in Okpe and Sapele Local Government Areas of Delta State.

The outreach was designed not only to provide essential educational materials but also to inspire children through mentorship sessions, encouraging them to believe in themselves, recognise their worth, and understand that their dreams can become reality regardless of the communities they come from.

EVWREKE PRIMARY SCHOOL, UGOLO, OKPE LGA
Our first stop was Evwreke Primary School, Ugolo, Okpe Local Government Area, where we distributed educational materials to support the pupils in their learning journey.

Items distributed included:
Over 100 school bags
Over 500 notebooks
Writing materials (Pencils, Biros, Eraser and Sharpener).

Beyond the distribution of educational materials, we engaged the pupils in an inspiring mentorship session. We reminded them that every child is special, gifted, and capable of making a difference in the world.

We encouraged them not to allow their backgrounds or the communities in which they live to limit their dreams. Rather, they should believe in themselves, take their education seriously, respect their teachers, and allow their individual lights to shine wherever they find themselves.

The pupils received the items and the message with excitement and happiness. We also presented appreciation packs to the teachers in recognition of their dedication to educating, inspiring, and shaping the next generation.

OKOKPORO PRIMARY SCHOOL, OKEGBORODE, SAPELE LGA
Our second stop was Okokporo Primary School, Okegborode, Sapele Local Government Area.
We received a warm welcome from the community, whose hospitality and enthusiasm made our visit memorable. Their reception demonstrated the importance of community participation in initiatives that promote children’s education and development.

At the school, we distributed:
Over 200 school bags
Over 1,000 notebooks
Writing materials (Pencils, Biros, Eraser and Shapener).

The distribution covered pupils from Kindergarten 1–3 and Primary 1–6.

We also held a mentorship session with the pupils, encouraging them to see themselves as children with great potential and promising futures. We reminded them that greatness is not determined by where a child is born or the community in which the child grows up.

We encouraged them to embrace education, develop good character, remain focused, and believe that they, too, can become successful professionals, responsible leaders, and positive contributors to society.

At EBF, we believe that supporting children goes beyond putting school bags on their backs and notebooks in their hands. It also involves planting seeds of hope, confidence, ambition, and self-belief in their hearts.

The President General and leaders of Ozue District entertained and appreciated our visit, they also prayed for us.

Our visit extended beyond the school premises when we encountered children along our return journey. We took the opportunity to distribute notebooks and school bags to them as well, extending the impact of the outreach beyond our planned activities.

We also presented appreciation packs to teachers as a token of gratitude for their commitment to educating, inspiring, and shaping the next generation.

The community’s warm reception and the children’s excitement made this phase of the project particularly memorable.

CHALLENGES ENCOUNTERED
One of the major challenges encountered during the outreach was heavy traffic as a result of the bad road on our journey from Ugolo to Sapele Local Government Area. This affected our movement and journey time.

Despite this challenge, our team remained committed to the mission and successfully completed the outreach at both schools.

The experience reinforces our understanding that reaching communities sometimes comes with logistical difficulties, but our determination to support children and promote educational opportunities remains unwavering.

APPRECIATION AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
The Ernest Bebenimibo Foundation sincerely appreciates the school authorities, Teachers, Community Members, Volunteers, our Sponsors and Partners who contributed to making the second phase of the Street2School Legacy Project 2026 a success.

At the Ernest Bebenimibo Foundation, we believe in touching lives one person at a time.
